Understanding Zones within your home.
There are two major types of zones. Audio zones and A/V zones. Audio zones will play music or other audio content. A/V zones are attached to a television. A/V zones allow television content (like streaming services) to be played through the more robust speakers in your room, rather than the TV's generally weak speakers.

Controlling whole-home audio is a breeze. Using apps like Yamaha's MusicCast (pictured above) is easy for everyone in the family.
You can easily link and unlink rooms to share the same music, podcast, or audiobook in some or all the rooms of your house where you have speakers.
